Playing live/DJing with hearing protection

Hi Robert,
i wonder how you manage this, do you wear hearing protection when DJing or playing live? Can you recommend a hearing protection?
I basically stopped doing shows cause i find it really hard to hear what i'm doing when wearing hearing protection, especially when doing changes to synth sounds.
It's so hard to judge the point where sounds begin to sound harsh, even with moulded earbuds. Finding the right balance between bass and treble seems to be more difficult as well.

Danke und beste Grüße aus Hamburg.

i should use hearing protection, but i lost it a few times.

now i simply don't stay very long at the club, to protect.
