Studio One Sales

How do you think Studio One is doing sales wise compared to other daw's? Was curious... I think Ableton/Imageline are the top among today's music creators. Mixing/Recording I guess Pro Tools.

Don't know a single person who's bought Pro Tools in the last 12 months, know a bunch of people who bought Studio One, though.

The Pro Tools users were probably home users. I'm seeing in major studios in my area still using Pro Tools.

It's a good question. I am new to it, but like it so far. I wish the playback screen could be set to continuous scroll, but we can dream!

Portability is one reason I like to not be dependent upon a DAW's plugins and minute details. If a DAW goes out of business, I can take my synths, plugins, samplers and the knowledge that goes with it elsewhere.

Do you mean autoscroll?
Where the arrangement scrolls along to keep pace with the playback 'head'?

If you do, then of course S1 has it

Just press F on your keyboard (for 'Follow').

There is also an icon at the top of the arrange window to the right of the Quantize controls.
It's an arrow pointing to the right with a thin vertical line after it.

If that's not what you meant, sorry for the unecessary explanation

But if so, what did you mean?!

I think that Ableton and Imageline are after a significantly different market than the Presonus users, the latter having more in common with Cubase and Pro Tools users.

Here for the gear
First Post

I'm relatively new to Studio One (18 months), but in that time ive noticed a LOT of people coming over from other DAWs. I'm thinking the beatmakers and lofi crowd. And wasn't it the release of V5 that caused the great jrrshop crash of 2020?
