Monomachine track (mostly SID emulation)

Just picked up a monomachine. I didn't come up with anything spectacular, just trying to understand the layout and architecture of the MnM... Here's what I came up with:

Whoa, very respectable for a first-ish Monomachine track. Props!

Great job!

What are your likes and dislikes with the monomachine so far? Is this your first elektron box?

Sorry for the late replies (I forgot to get notifications!!)

Thanks a lot! :D

Yes, it's my first elektron box. Back in 2011 I was debating between the Korg EMX, elektron MD, and the Spectralis. I decided to go with the Spectralis (and definitely felt I made the right decision!). Anyway, I have been getting every groovebox and testing it out. The monomachine is the only one so far that gets really close to the same workflow as the Spectralis. It's much simpler, but that comes at a cost I think (monophonic parts and pretty simple pattern lengths).

Pros:
-Extremely easy (took me no time at all to write music that I liked)
-Sounds great (not sure why people don't like how it sounds... not thin to me)
-Ease of copying / pasting events, tracks, patterns
-The layout is great
-I love parameter locks as well as retriggers for drums
-The Arp can be EXTREMELY fantastic when used with drums!

Cons:
-BPM does not save in each pattern (Seriously, wtf)
-Not the +Drive version (can't have unlimited patterns, but my own fault)
-Patches don't save in patterns, they save as a kit... but it's just a conceptual barrier to overcome. I just assume my 'song' is based on a kit, and I use a few patterns to make kits

That's probably the extent of my very limited use of it! Thanks for checking out the music and commenting

Very cool, man, great job! I love the Mono myself, and actually made a little EP just using the SID emulation in it.
