Deep House Track!

Hey there!
I just did this deep housy track (sampling the great Sufjan Stevens!)
I'm happy with the track, but i'm definitely not happy with the mix, what's your opinion on it? How you think i could improve it??

This is nice. I'm not sure about the syncopated snare through the track. Its a little off putting - maybe try using it sparingly.

Also - the piano could be a bit brighter. Its sounding a bit muffled at the moment. This sounds like thats what your going for but I'd like it with a bit of sparkle.

The sample is great.

What did you use for the bass?

thanks for the feedback!
i had some mixed feeling about the 808 syncopated snare. Maybe i should cut it in some sections.

For the bass I used some patch from Kontakt from the Abstrakt Bass library, with some mods.

The piano is the sample i was mentioning, and therefore i think i won't be able to make it sound 'brighter' :/
