The text that is centred in the middle of each line is a link to a video on vimeo. Watch them - should answer most questions. Drop me a line if you want more info.

So I've been wondering has there been anyone that has figured out how to get two main avid or digidesign daw controllers, ie 2 Pro Control main units or 2 D Command main units, etc to work as one in pro tools like a main unit and a fader pack or module for the second main unit, essentially using the other main unit as a 8 fader expansion? Has anyone cracked or figured this out?

Interesting. I was told on another forum that not only could it be done, that he had a rig like that up and running just with a Ethernet cable and hub. Maybe he was confused on what I was asking. Anyone else can chime in that's actually tried it?Since they are both nothing but enhanced digidesign pro tools controllers technically to me it would just depend on if when two units are connected it registers the second unit period, and secondly as a unique device different than the first, then thirdly sees the new 8 faders from the second unit as it would see an expansion while offseting for the 8 in the other unit. Seems like with people cracking the pro control and 24 code now to use them as universal Daws and now with any new pro tools release, getting someone who knows how to get around digidesign driver or device signing should be possible with some tweaking. As the expansions get more scarce, just wanted to see if anybody actually gave it a go or figured out a work around.
