Zoom Meeting Audio Clean-up - any tips?

Like many of you, I've been receiving more and more requests for me to magically clean up a crap Zoom call and turn it into pristine professional sounding dialogue. L-O-L

Obviously the old saying is true - crap in, crap out - but was wondering if anyone has found any tips to help up the quality a bit?

I've had a decent amount of luck with "Deconstruct" in RX7 - but nothing earth shattering.

If you have any tips, please share!

And please no - "tell them to send a real microphone and a recorder to both ends and capture dialogue that way" - as that would obviously require planning ahead and foresight, two things that most ad agency creatives/producers are severely lacking.

Here for the gear
Isotope was pretty on the ball releasing RX8 today with the Spectral Recovery tool:

Haven’t tried it yet but given their history of great tools, it’s probably our best bet making the best out of bad situation.

Another vote for RX or Acon Digital's restoration tools.

Acon Digital -

Hope this helps...

Zoom recordings can have many problems... cheap mic freq bandwidth, roomy verb, distortion, compression artifacts, signal drops...

I use different things for each problem. There isn't a magic plugin cure unfortunately. If I had to choose 1 tool, it would be EQ.

In addition to the tools already mentioned, I've had some incremental success with Zynaptiq's Unfilter and Unchirp. No magic can make that audio pristine, but each little step can help.

I’ve also had some success with oeksound’s soothe2 plugin, of course in combination with many of the other solutions mentioned above, including judicious EQ.

This option in Advanced Audio enhances “Original Audio” mode, allowing for disabling echo cancellation & post-processing, while raising audio codec quality to 48Khz, 96Kbps mono/192kbps stereo for professional audio transmission in music education and performance applications. Professional audio interface, microphone, and headphones required.
