We’re excited to announce the installation of Dolby Atmos Home Theater
on The Dub Stage! This means we can now mix Theatrical Atmos and
Home Theater Atmos in the same room.#gamechanger .

Big thanks to Andy Potvin (Dolby), Miles Rogers (Meyer Sound),
Jay Wyatt (QSC), John McMahon (Meyer Sound) for help with the installation. — at The Dub Stage.

Forgive my ignorance, but to change from one type of Atmos to the other, do you just use a diff PT template with diff plugins, and (I guess) change your monitor routing? Or is it simpler than that?

If it was “simple” I doubt they would need all those smart folks for the install.

I mean in a days work, as in changing over the stage config from one to the other on successive days for successive projects?

I wonder if the home mastering suite and Dolby Atmos theatrical can both co-exist on the RMU given that it is essentially a dell machine? It would be less about routing then, and more about using the appropriate version of Dolby Atmos to achieve the desired final format.

We can A/B between Dolby Atmos Theatrical and Dolby Atmos Home
Theater with a push of a button. We can A/B between any Immersive
format.. DTS X, IMAX 12.0, Dolby Atmos ( either one) and also 5.1
Theatrical and Home.

You want to mix a Film in Dolby Atmos Theatrical in Pro Tools and then
mix it in Dolby Atmos Home Theater.. We can do it.
Use your Pro Tools session from your Theatrical mix.. no problem.
we're doing that now on a HUGE Film!!

Everyone was very impressed with the end result..
Home Atmos in 9.1.4 or 7.1.4 or 5.1.2... no problem!

Do you have a separate nearfield setup for HE or are you able to use the existing screen channels?
