Pro Tools question concerning AAF and OMF

If you import an embedded AAF file into Pro Tools, can it be exported as a linked OMF file?

You should be able to. Import the AAF and force to WAV format. Then export as linked.

Once you import the AAF it becomes a Pro Tools session.
You can export as anything you like after that.

When you export as linked, does Pro Tools create a folder with linked audio files, which were embedded before in the AAF file?

Yes. As stated above by Mundox once you import (using copy or force) PT no longer sees it as an embedded AAF, it only sees it as a session.
