Mounting speakers

I currently have my speakers on stands that are not height adjustable. I'd like to get them up about 8 inches and angle them down slightly. I have mopads for some isolation and they allow you to angle a bit too. But wondering what would work well acoustically to get them up to the height I need.

This is a temporary situation, as I'll be moving into a new room with all of the proper mounting soon. But I'd appreciate any advice in the meantime.

I was kind of hoping to find some nice thick rubber blocks, but so far have had no luck finding something that would work.

Thanks,
Steve

Yoga Blocks. Work like a charm. Who would have thunk.
