What length extension cable for latest Rode VideoMic Pro?

I am thinking of using the Videomic Pro stationary boomed onto my subject. I am considering 3m or 5m length for a 3.5mm jack extension cable? I am not sure whether they are wired for long runs though.

It's an unbalanced signal, meaning that it's more susceptible to interference such as buzz from a nearby electrical cables or so. This is why pro devices use balanced XLR connections and cables. I would think you would mostly be fine, but you can always get unlucky.

Thanks. Do you know what the safe length is?
