Screen-captures integrated in youtube videos?

Hi,
I don't know whether this is the right place, but I hope someone can help me out - I'm interested in integrating / overlaying screen-capture-material into other video material

Good examples of this can be found on loopop's youtube channel - for example he overlays oscilloscopes, showcasing the waveforms of the synths he demoes.

One application would be a single plugin window (that I screencaptured in Ableton) overlayed on different film material.

Anybody knows of a good solution for this? Maybe a recommendation for which software works best for that scenario? I'm looking into screen-capture & video editing solutions. Thanks !

Search for video compositing software. Many alternatives. . .anywhere between free and $10K+.

Ray H.

EDIT: Another notion is to look at hardware options. Maybe a call to B&H, Adorama, etc. to find out what the deals are.

Thanks a lot - and yes, giving the stores a call sounds like a good idea!

You're not talking about live-streaming, right? You just want to have a plugin screen or some other sort of rectangle show up somewhere on your screen? It's easy with iMovie, which you've already got if you have a Mac.

I'm on windows...but yes, that's the basic concept. In the youtube videos I referenced there's the added effect that the videos are overlayed in a way that takes into account perspective - they appear as if they were displays in the shot. I am in the process of trying out different solutions. Thanks for your recommendation!

Pretty sure iMovie won't do that. But I'm not exactly a "power user."
