This is the kind of TLC a classic, beautiful building deserves!

After scouting for air conditioning system a long time, work is back. We are installing a dual split inverter system (so two independent zone) with two double flow CMV. All lounge and hall windows are on their way. More than 100m3 of insulation will arrived soon and the plaster board and OSB too. And for sure also Sommer audio cable, cat6, coax, and power supply. A Logo from Siemens will take control of the light (all LED).

Really really a lot of respect for this build. Just amazing!
ONLY 1 but... the new roofpan's... god there ugly! Old building with new roof. I know it's hard to keep the old one's (I renoved the house of my parents) and find replacements in the same old style. But put some spray on to it to make it LOOK old ..

And what I know... in the french contry side. Electricite isn't the most stable one. Got some power protection for thunderstorm's and brokenline's with spikes in it?

For the rest... just WOW!

Many thanks! Yep, the new pan...I think this is mainly cause they are new. It's the same shape and material. I couldn't have kept the old one. They were not water proof anymore and haven't any mechanical structure. I hope they will get some beautiful color nuance with time.

Electricity is really fine here. I'll just have a no-brake for the computer.There are a lot of industrial zone in the 30km around. And the power plant too (Tihange).

But maybe you've been in a recording studio near Malmedy??? French part of Belgium (Wallonie) is more "wild" in the south of it.

Back from a too short holiday week, here are some stuff waiting for me! All the insulation is there (an also plaster on OSB boards). Just the Homatherm missing (25m3 but no more free spaces). I'll "lost" easily 250m3 with all the acoustical and structural system.

After a long saturday working on FOH guest (17hours but lots of great band) just a little bit of work on sunday but the roof is taking shape for real this time. DIY build request efforts...

absolutely amazing man! I know the pain of only building in your free time. Progress is slow and it is really difficult to keep the focus if you only have one day a week...but it looks like you are doing great!

and close it quickly with Uniflot (as it's not the last layer):

It's all for now in LR. But I feel close from a first step there.

I received the Homatherm for the CR and acoustical treatment in LR. My garage is full of it (maybe not easy to see on pic):

The live room have taken a big step. All the wall layers are done. So it "only" eft all the acoustic elements (basstrap, diffusor and so).
So from outside: brick, void, concrete, 45cm rockwool, 2x18mm OSB, gyps, roofing, gyps!

And here is all the Homatherm and Knauf cavity slab for control room and LR acoustic system. And also 20m3 of rockwool (also for booth, lounge and hall).

Next step, cables in CR.

Things move slower now. I'm working on the lounge. Thomas from Northward refine the control room plan. Too many minor differences combined could lead to a real change so to be considered.

Hello! there've been a couple of months, ok maybe years since I haven't uploaded any news. But the studio build have been moving forward. Slowly, but till. We also had to work on our private part of the house, which was not planed but urgent as the roof was leaking. Anyway, here are pics of the outside of the studio, which, for the first time in 6years, doesn't look anymore like a construction site, but like a real home! It is a big relief for me, a big step to enter each night after work in a beautiful path like this one!

Monumental build, I think I have a lot of work on with my build but it is like putting a shelf up compared to this!

My friend Gwyn Mathias build me an LA2a based on the dripkit (with an original cell and a fast cell) and some mod (I/O ground lift, and several output caps), nos tube, sowter trafo. This is how I finf it when coming back home:

Ok, here are the CR build. But, for each part, it's more or less just the first and last layer. Some recipe I'm not allowed to share. I'll just say there are no black magic, just deep wall fill with science! Back of the CR is almost 2m from outside to last ayer in the room.
