Correct! It's odd because you can't look directly into it and when opened up it gives off a gold glow, just like the briefcase in pulp fiction!

Oh and a private tour when we are open???

I guess you have to wear a veil when you enter its presence.

Wow! Do you have a plan to use the Bricastis to do surround? If so, what's the routing going to look like? I'm definitely going to pick up some more M7s, but kinda stumped on whether to just treat them as more stereo or something more.

Also, let me guess: three M6000 mainframes so you can have one for music, one for dialog, and one for efx.

Hi mate

Hi mate

Well we actually have 4 M6000's with another on the way making 5 in total their all loaded with 5.1 reverbs and the analogue ins and outs- Geoff Foster who will be piloting our place is known to use many of these box's on certain projects - the last studio I operated had 2 of these box's and so have just added from there - yes they could be used as you suggest Mike - I'm a guitar player and have always loved "grease" on my sound - live I had back in the day a huge system - 2 wet Bogner 4x12's 1 dry 4x12 running into a large separate mix system- :-) :-) -plenty of eventides and all sorts of crap in the racks !!!

I wanted the new place to be jammed full of effects to give plenty of scope for the engineers-

Effects are like the oil painters colours- used well and appropriately then great things can be done :-)

Talk soon mate :-)

Best

Andy

Hi again

Hi Mike

My understanding regarding the M7's is they will probably be used as dedicated stereo box's - although if we can work them in 5.1 then that's always an option I suppose -

We also have a lexicon 960L which will do 5.1 but to be honest the M6000 are seriously hard to beat for 5.1 - as you probably know :-)

Best

Andy

I think I saw some of that grease on the rack near the Bricastis, but I didn't want to say anything

Well yes mate :-)

Yes quite correct

To quote a mate of mine who I admire greatly -

"The more jizz on there the better Andy " - Steve Lukather :-)

He's quite correct and who am I to argue Mike :-)

So yes at Analogue Baby we love "jizz " on the sound :-):-)

Talk soon mate

Where's my invite ?????

Best

Andy

What is the function of a stem maker? I visited AMS NEVE but that module is not described. And Google has no knowledge either.... A mystery box... Ah it's a Mr Spock box to beam Santa Claus to the UK?!!

It adds a further 36 mix busses to the console. They are grouped as surround busses. You use the panel in the centre section to assign both small and large fader audio path from every channel to these busses. The SP2 enables you to monitor and print each stem, combine them into a master mix and also gives 2-track reductions of te stems which can all be recorded..........

............all in one pass!
