Control room visual monitors ordered today- their really nice ultra thin bevel pieces- we can only fit 2 x 42inch screen's up there- but they will look good and are WIFI capable units !

Control room cable decking completed-

We're getting there !!!!!!

Cheers

I just find it so hard to envisage how stuff will look when it's finally finished.

Can't wait t see the pics....Unloading from the truck, frame being set-up, modules going in one by one, power up, ....and the grand finale: a photo of the Neve in the dark with all the LEDs of every input lid up.

I'll take the camera down tomorrow but here is a sneaky peek at the finished rear diffuser, complete with glass artwork.

I LOVE the wood... just beautiful... not yet sure about the glass work. I need to see the finished room

Yep - lovely contrast between the wood and glass...it breaks the symmetry of the wood well and is visually stimulating. Nice textures too especially the detail in the wood grain.

Thankyou arthur

Cheers mate

My sentiments entirely !!!

The over exposed iphone pictures do not do it justice believe me-

When the backlit panels are on they look amazing-

I'm not expecting everybody to like this feature , but it is an individual piece of artwork that is visually stimulating- your right about that- breaks the feel of the room down- too much of anything is a bad thing- we've got the nice hardwood vibe going on but the glass thing is really nice- Mike did something with glass at his place and I think it works !!!!

We may be commissioning another piece to be made for us- all depends on budget ;-)

Cheers Arthur

Two great things in the same photo: RA-The Book and our desk prior to shipping. Thanks to Dom Coll who not only brokered the sale of our console but recommended the use of Recording architecture for our build!

Network infrastructure all terminated to a nice expensive patch panel :-)

(the "expensive" comment is a bit of a private joke ;-) )

Yes - Mr Eurodesk himself !!!!!

Haaaaaa

What people don't know is Chubbfingers spec'd a Eurodesk as first choice console obviously he was over ruled :-) :-)

I was with him yesterday and he opened his wallet just to check the cash inside and a rare variety of moth flew out :-)!!!!!!

He actually done an amazing job of financially ruining me !!!

But let's face it - your only here once !!!

The colour has been decided ;-)

Posted on our Facebook page -

I saw my arse a bit- but have calmed down now :-)

"Hi actually the red is not a red its a burnt orange ;-) - personally If we had our time again I'd have gone for a Black carpet and continued a black and white theme throughout the building interspersing reds and silvers- BUT - we cannot change the bespoke carpet at this late stage- the control room is a purple and green interspersed with orange- the live room Purple/orange- the booth orange and teal- the purple and orange in reception continue the colour theme of the studio- this area is a reception - we're not going to have musos sitting on the floor looking up at the walls and trying to write the next chart hit are we haaaaaaahaaaaa and what being put off by the hideous colours ??? ........... the studio has a modern vibe- we wanted to stay away from the STANDARD cliches of studio decorating- personally as seeing as I'm paying for it all I'll have what I please ;-).......... Knowing the carpet design and colour these colours are perfect- we all have our own opinions of whats good and bad and colours are no different- but in this building its down to me how it looks- and anyway- its about how it sounds and what type of people you have working in there that counts more ........... The colour has been decided...........cheers have a good weekend and thanks for your input"

As I said got on the old soap box - had a little rant- now all's cool :-)

Its stressful all of this- this BS has been going on for freaking nearly 2 years !!!!!
