In the US a recording studio is classified as a boat *anchor*, not a boat

Ok ok, I'm on Clueless side of the ocean here...
Yes wiring regulations are different in North America: so here's my first two shots back at the Queen's country:

1) You drive on the wrong side of the road (crazy and unfortunate for us visitors)
2) Your AC voltage is 220V...(double crazy)...and 50Hz...

ah ah ah

I guess when the Boston Tea party happened, it was truly because of bad grounding on the boats ?

Also, we don't earth our boats...we run them aground.

4 doors, 3 days! Unbelievable really as they weigh around 160 kilos and I had to hold them in place while Graham screwed them in!

Hats off to Graham this week! His door fitting is perfection personified!

No, just a coupling meganism that is dampened. Only one door has a "hatch" the other one just moves in sync. Then both doors have a "dictator" ( thats how it is called overhere) which presses the door into its seals. Not expensive, I guess the costs are about 200 euro per set of doors.

cheers mate/ and checking in

Next week

Graham sorting walnut ceiling line arch's and skirts...... in new reception.....

Ordering more barrier matting for all floors/ and new marine ply- that have not been ply lined and barrier matted- namely- interconnection passage from old reception to new reception- new reception flooring and chill out area flooring on mezzanine ....

I decided to do this today to make all the flooring in building feel like a solid concrete floor underneath....... nothing worse than squeaking floor boarding.... to some degree it will add density to the floor and repel sound vibration in any regard.......

Also- getting aircon attenuators made at CNC guys along with the ATC Monitor box stands behind front wall-

We'll keep you all posted and add pics when we have them.........

Cheers

Andy

We ran 400 metres of 12 channel Vandamme blue series today!

We have now run 43 of the 50 looms that are needed to connect the console patch to the machine room, thats 600 audio channels just for the console!

We pulled up the old control room floor today, I got to use a chain saw again as the oak floor lifted as one massive piece!

Louie then stripped everything else out of the room and removed the glass.

I think that the wall will be removed tomorrow opening the old control room into the live room!

Graham has been scribing in the second pieces of walnut up to the first pieces leaving a 2mm gap. This margin is not noticible and means that the walls and ceilings that cant touch, dont touch.

I had a bit of a mishap today, I used a set of steps to get high enough to move an alarm sensor.

Next thing I knew, i was on the floor!

I think the ladders came off worse though!
