Yes quite possibly

I still like a few of the other designs very much

Constraints are obviously money then wall space

Let's see what happens here

Thanks for your interest mate

So while i watch other builds in admiration, your build is more of a mix of admiration and suspense. Like watching a good mystery movie, waiting for the answer to slowly unfold

You guys think in a different way than me, which makes me think in a different way than me, which makes me evolve just by watching this build. So i hope you guys take this as a huge compliment, because it is!

Might be an idea to use the "analogue baby" design because of that.

Design No 1 is soooooo much better than the other two.

It says it all - analog makes you special and blasts away all the others (maybe competitors) - isnt that the message?? G O F O R I T !!!!!!!!

Today I realised the horror that is the screw down job! Eack 8x4 sheet has 154 screws holding it down!!!!

We also placed another layer of polymeric barrier down to add even more density.
This is a great post! Thank you.

So why are so many screws needed for each sheet?

Thanks!

I like all 3 designs. I was stunned by the wood. And now your coloursceme starts to grow on me. I'm starting to like it in a big way.

Design 1 is my favorite. Design 3 could be on a businesscard or somewhere where it is not the main thing. Like little windows besides a painting. Something like that...

I'm quite sure that there is a strong masterplan. And it allways works out if that masterplan is followed to the letter.

Thanks for sharing....

Now I'm torn between 1 and 3! I love the idea of having lots of little individual pieces of glass making up the design.

@RoyalMusic:
The 6" centres are for the rooms where we're ultimately going to lay bamboo laminate. While 8" centres would have sufficed, the more centres you have the less likely it is to be buckled or raised in any areas so the laminate should go down incredibly flat. For the live room in particular, it's really important that the floor be very dense (hence the quartz barrier matting) so the more the better!

He means solid strand woven bamboo floor, not laminate by the way. Just a typo!

Today was crazy! The build is coming along really well and it's all starting to look a bit like a studio now - funny that! heh Can't wait to start racking all of this gear up.

This place is shaping up to be one of the best equipped studios in the world. It's amazing to be a part of that

The floorings utter crap and going back

The flooring we bought is defect and has not passed my quality control....

It's going back next week - it's total garbage- most of the boards are curling at the end....NOT GOOD AT ALL

We have sourced much better quality and Greg has finally got his way with Tiger Striped Bamboo for the live room and tape room.....

Cheers

Andy
