If you intend on using them for promo I'd recommend using musicians.

If you buy me a glockenspiel I'm game.

The dirty mains and the lighting circuits got started today at last!

I so badly want the live room to be TRON colours! Nice bold LED lighting in there to wash the walls.

Be amazing to have a grid painted with invisable UV paint on the plastered wall then have some LED UV spots pointed at it!

I can hear it now! "The Grid, a digital fronteer........."

Its not as much as the quote for the 3 linked analogue tube at-101's so we can have a 5.1 fairchild bus compressor!

Ill pay for the UV paint and UV led spots myself! You pay for the 5.1 at-101 system!

Just cover yourself in rave paint and switch the control room lights off.

And always listen to Kraftwerk.

Andy has just ordered us a Tube Equipment corporation SR-71!

I can feel a fairchild shootout coming on when we open!

SR-71 vs AT-101 vs origonal 670

Anyone else got another clone that they would bring to the alter?

Sounds like it is going to be an amzing place, fair do's to ya! Nice to see amazing studios popping up out of London.

One thing that got me slightly confused, apologies in advance if I have got the wrong end of the stick. I'm sure I read on another thread that you were hoping to do a fair bit of work for games with the Liverpool Philharmonic but the live room is only 25' x 23'. Is that a miss print and if not where will you be doing the tracking?

Hi

Hi Ed

Lots of these games guys record small sections, the guy we will be working with recording small sections of between 6 and up to 12 people, our live room can stand that, we have recorded a 10 piece section for an album I was doing a few years back in the old place before we extended.

Thanks mate for your interest.

A great set of stuff there!! I'm happy to say I have quite a number of the same items!!

I'd add one thing - get some really nice clean pre's to go with all the character stuff..... Grace Designs 801 (got 201s ) or Millenia HV-3D (used em a lot).

Other than that !!!...... KEWL!!

Also I looked at IB2s as well. I ended up going with SP Acoustics SP1m so you may like to look at them (unless you've already bought the PMCs). A new monitor with impeccable pedigree.

Josephson 700 stuff - great mic. Get a VM1 from Brauner as well..... or the VMA - even better.

Soon as you've finished I'm coming up for a test drive !!

We have the IB2's they were in the old room, they will be mounted on motorised lifters that will drop them out of the way of the ATC mains when critical listerning!

Have you tried the grace design 500 seies? Wonder if they are any good?

G

PS you have got me re-visiting Riemann curvature tensor's and bloody Weierstraus functions! At 1am! Urrrrrggghhhh!!!

We had a lecturer who did loads of 3D modeling stuff I presume thats what you were into? He took our Java module in the 1st year, bloody cretin wrote a very complexed plagiarism program that also demontrated how efficiant his grid computing topology was! So the idea that one of us did one of the assignments then the others could copy in and change the code a little went straight out of the window!
