Big thanks for a very hard days work from Graham!

The other bloke is Louie, he is an assistant and sound designer who will be on our rosta. The guy wanted to get involved at this stage so he knows every inch of the studio!

Cheers mate!!!

Spent all day in the shop with Joiner Graham today. Graham has been manufacturing fascia pieces from oak veneered mdf. These will sit between the glass panes, with a layer of our purple fabric stapled to the bottom of them, hiding the window stops and the foam that sits between the stops.

Once finished they will be stained purple by Duncan on friday ready for fitting on saturday.

First we draw out the windows in plan view in order to make a cutting list....

Graham then makes a "pre jig" piece to make the jig from. This takes a lot of thinking about because the router will make a slightly bigger cut in the actual jig than is in the "pre jig" therefore we had to reduce the size of the first jig by a factor of two in order to have the jig smaller by a factor of one and in turn have the actual holes the size we wanted!!!! If you follow me?????

Then using the "pre jig" we made an eight foot long jig with 25 holes in.........

Using the 25 hole jig, we can finally make the side pieces that will sit between the 20mm glass and the DG unit.....

And then use the jig three times to make the pieces that will go between the two DG units, between rooms.

These pieces will be cut in half along the centre line with the table saw blade at a 45 degree angle, this will keep the two rooms compleately independant. The foam and fabric underneith is allowed to bridge the liners.....
