Its not normal to be up at 6am on a bank holliday to let plasterers into your studio build.

Anyway, back to bed!

Building studios is not only damaging to your wealth! Your health can also suffer!

This morning when carrying some ceiling tiles to the skip I tripped over a piece of wood, fell funny on my right leg breaking my pelvis right at the front, due to the break I fell forward and headbutted the back of the metal staircase!

Im now in hospital waiting for a decision on if ill need surgery.

What a day :-(

Ill have a look at the manual to find the "digitising laser" button on the 88! Im assuming its got one as TRON was tracked and mixed on 88RS's

If it comes down to a light cycle showdown, I'm game!
I'll represent the Midlands!!

Heavy? Why are things so heavy in the future? Is there a problem with the Earth's gravitational pull?

Sorry, I couldn't help myself heh

Hi Liam, you dont have to feel sorry, I love that kind of humor. Who knows what changes next after the climate?? Hopefully not the gravitational pull - then we have to loose even more weight (which means eat less )

Who did you guys get to design, supply and fit the stuff in your control room like the panels overhead?

All design is Roger D'Arcy of Recording Architecture.

The doors and non cnc pannels are being made by Graham Brodie of Oak Leaf joinary, its a local business but Graham has been manufacturing bespoke pieces for us for a good few years, his work is amazing!

The CNC pannels are manufactured by JD plastics who are another local firm, we supply them the wood and the DXD files from Roger.

We have a great site joiner called Dougie Johnson who has done some great work with his team, plastering and fitting flooring and acoustic ceilings or "the lid" as Roger calls it.

All of the electrical and audio systems have been designed by ME! I designed the isolated clean power system. We are also having isolated 115V 60Hz sockets to run american rack gear and American guitar amps.

The electrical install is being done by Warrington Electrical who are another local firm who understand how a top end recording studio has to be wired.

The Lighting design has been done by the owner, Andy Bramhall and implimented by Nirvana audio systems (an ex Neve guy)

If anyone would like any contact details for our contractors just PM me!

Well its not a full build as a lot of the studio is allready there and has been modified, obviously the control room is new.

Well without giving exact figures.........

Its about half the cost of the Desk!

Or about the same as a Porsche GT2 RS with loads of options!

What guitar amps do you use?

We are quite strict about not letting crap gear into the building!
