I was just picking up
on the comments about the door seals. We have used a firm called Alcohol Belden to supply and fit some folding partition doors on our last few projects. They supply a door that has a large Alan key hole in the face that let's you wind out a neoprene seal from all sides. It's really effective too. We did acoustic testing on the doors up to 20db and the results were really good.

What do you mean by baffles?

Hi Greg. They are acoustic baffles that fit to the Walls to
deaden the sound so you get a true reflection from the monitors rather than the soundwaves bouncing back off the flat Walls. You might call them something different.

The beauty of them is that they are very light and don't need much to hang them. If you want them I'll arrange for them to be dropped off. no
charge, just glad to help. We might have some soundblock preggybel boards too. Like plaster boards with lots of little squares in them to aid the acoustic
deadening of a space. Just say the word mate.

That's very interesting! I'd like to take a look at those. Is it a pain in a high traffic area? Having to keep wind the seal in and out? Would it get fire regs if that's the only door out of a room?

In our control room all of the sound testament has been custom designed by Recording Architecture so we wouldn't be able to use them in there. We have a booth that we may be able to use them in though.......

So what is the £22m project that you have been working ok?

Our Laurients give 36db of attenuation, that's pretty good!

Template for the 7 "Credenza" racks between the console and the raised deck.

We dont have enough rack space

I think that the most used pieces will have pole position and the other gear will have to be brought in, housed in custom pods....

Nice shots ....... Excellent

Looks like the Japs eye lens .......... Sorry...... fish eye lense was worth the money heeeeeeheeeheheeeee

On a worrying note..... We have 400 U of equipment and only half of the space needed to rack it........

Downer........

It's hard to get a feel for the size of the room from the pics, but when you think about the fact that the red box with the "N" in it is the exact dimensions of a 60 channel 88RS, you kind of realise that really it is!

Andy, I've been looking on Amazon and I've found this:

Moorcroft Pottery Swaledale 398/14 Vase Limited Edition: Amazon.co.uk: Kitchen & Home

I think it would greatly improve my workflow, well, everywhere. Do you mind?

Hey there, the door panels can be custom made to fit any opening.

I've been working on building a new school for Gatacre Comp. we're just about finished now so any left over materials are being put up for grabs or thrown out. You have my e mail mate so if there is anything you need let me know.

Good luck. ;-)
