in the original plans darius posted, looks like the speakers are a few feet from the wall.

can you share how it works with the speakers so close to the boundary like this?
is it mostly because of the HUGEEEE BASSconTRAPtion that is the back wall?

Sorry, I´m still curious.
I always thought its better to have the speakers not directly on the wall.
Why???

The plans posted are low res & doctored... Can't post full designs like that.
What is right on the plans posted is the sweet spot location.

It may seem odd at first, but it's part of the design that there is a specific build-up of energy in the front where the steel is. They start to behave flush-mounted like. Type & design of speaker is important though.

I'm sorry, I'm not going more in the detail of that... Best thing is to hear the result

Nah, what matters is boundary interferences.

Those amps are a temporary fill-in i bought as i'm having some custom cases made (for my Hypex) which won't be ready for a few weeks.

The amps in the picture are Vincent SP-991 PLUS , 600 watt class A and they sound amazingly good!

Sheesh, are we all having Hypex's made??? I've got a three channel one on the way for my LCR array up front. I guess the parts here in the States are on backorder. I got a case from a guy in Italy modus.it for a very reasonable price. It showed up right on time. The hypex modules are going to take another few weeks. Ah well, not ready to put the speakers up in there anyhow.

Your place looks awesome. Great build. Can't wait to be at the point you are... This stuff always takes longer and cost more.....

cheers,
bassman

Very cool.... I especially love B&W's with Brystons and Krells, but Vincent's must be pretty sweet, too

Can't wait to start hearing the results!

The lights are these ones:

http://www.supermodular.com/?section=modular_pdf&id=551

But be warned, i had problems with a hum from the transformers and the 12v lamps themselves, so i had to modify them to 230v (quite a hassle).........now they're silent.

Darius, can you have two different rates??

One for mastering audio and a second rate just to be inside your room hearing music!!!!!!

Absolutely beautiful. Probably the most aesthetically pleasing facility I've ever seen.

I never thought I'd be drooling over diffusors...

Thanks, that's great to hear!............We spent a lot of time thinking about materials, colours and the general look, so it's nice to hear people appreciate that effort.

True, although spending money doesn't guarantee pleasing aesthetics.

Anyone remember Michael Jackson walking 'round that furniture shop in Dubai or wherever it was?!

Well i think looks very cool with a little bit of a clinic operating room feel. But still a bit warm because of the wood.

Are you organizing a "open dag" for us droolers to see it for real?
