Hi to everyone. Sorry if this is not the correct section for this question. I have a home studio in a small room (4 L x 3 W x 3 T meters). I own a macbook pro 2015 with a Samsung 32´´ monitor, a RME babyface pro, a Clarett octopre that I use for channel count extension, and other USB controllers connected via a USB powered hub. When mixing using Reaper with certain plugins it starts to make a quite strong fan noise, specially now in summer in Argentina. My work is mainly mixing electroacustic music, no recording.

I´d like to take my macbook pro outside the room and forget about fan noise so my question is: how should I make the clables extensions, USB, thunderbolt for monitor, etc ? I thought to make a hole in the wall and send all cables through there but I´d like to hear your opinions. Thanks !!!!

I use a fanless Microsoft Surface Pro 6. There's now a Surface Pro 7. Maybe something for you? Not the fastest CPU in the world but runs good.

Maybe move the whole rig out of the room and just run a mic cable and mic into the room you're in?
