Studio B

Finally the sound proofing is done in our separate 'studio b'. As it was a timber structure, took rockwooling the all the wall and celing joists. A layer of 12.5mm soundboard, thermo board screwed on to that (basically 9mm plasterboard with 25mm or so styroform, and then another layer of 12.5mm soundboard stuck on with 'green glue'). We are happy that's enough for any production/mixing going on.
(The room is about 5.2m by 6.4, so will have an iso booth, but not much loud tracking going on).

Design sketch attached along with some exterior cedar cladding piccs. (We went cedar mad after seeing the richness in colour. Thank you Canada.) The wood is soft as hell, so be careful when hammering in nails. There's a few board that look like they did 12 rounds with Tyson.
