i noticed that the volume of notes or pad presses coming from my MPK mini is slightly quieter than when i click the note with my mouse. this is more noticeable with drums using the pads than say a piano.
i searched up the problem and saw others were having it. the only "solution" i could find was to turn off the velocity link in MIDI options. however, i already had velocity link set to none. the difference is also visually noticeable when looking at the master volume in the mixer and comparing the peak of a keyboard or mouse click to the MIDI pad or note press.

any help?

Does the mpk mini have a FULL LEVEL button on it perhaps like my mpk25 does?
