Using Logic 9 with a UR22 + Mixer + Outboard FX

Hi All,

OK, straight to the point. I'm using Logic 9 on my MacBook Pro, this is connected via USB to a Steinberg UR22 Audio Interface.

I also have an M-Audio Axiom 49, also connected via USB to the Mac.

Now, I've decided to make use of some outboard units, namely the following:

Behringer Virtualizer 3D FX2000
DBX 166xs Compressor
DBX 215s Equalizer

These outboard processors are connected to an Alesis Multimix8 FX USB

My objective is to play the keyboard and record tracks in Logic but also adding the signals from the processors.

I've managed so far to connect everything up how I 'think' it should be and have successfully recorded a track, however... I seem to be getting a really bad signal with feedback at times. This could be due to the gain settings being too high but I'm not sure.

Have I really got this set-up correctly, or am I missing something vital here?

Below is a diagram of how my set-up is wired and I appreciate in advance for some help.

Oh, the reason I want to make this so complicated and not use the in-built compressor etc. in Logic is that I feel you still get more warmth from outboards, I'm also a bit of an analogue fan too Cheers.
