Best Way To Record In Pro Tools 10?

Windows 7 Ultimate
Service Pack 1
Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU B840 @ 1.90GHz 1.90GHz
Installed Ram: 4.00GB
64-Bit OS


This is my system, I use Pro Tools 10.3.2. I want to find out what should i set these settings to to get the best recording an usage out of the program with my computer specs...

H/W Buffer Size
Host Processors
CPU Usage Limit

Disk Playback Cache Size....

As, well as any other options i have to change to get the best out of what i have. I use a Digi-design Mbox2.

As a general rule for recording, you're going to want your buffer size as low as possible. While mixing, you want to bring it up.

As far as Host processors and CPU Usage limit, I've always left mine on the default and my system has worked just fine for me.
