Amplitube input too low despite DAW showing good signal

Signal path: Guitar, Active DI, Mixer, Audio Interface, Computer
In Amplitube the input is way too low. Ableton shows my signal as being good (peaks at -10 or so, green bar usually stays around halfway or a tad higher) but when I throw Amplitube on the track it barely registers input. If I run the signal straight from DI to audio interface or straight into the hi-z input on the interface (without DI) I can get a good signal into Amplitube, but I like the EQ and mic preamps on my mixer and with mics and my drum machine life would be much easier if I could go through my mixer. Help?
