Dropped micrphone

Hey all,

I have an old Rhode NT-2 that I dropped and it stopped working completely (no sound comes through at all). I took the whole thing apart and everything is still connected fine, soldering joints look good. Is the most likely problem that the capsule broke? I was going to upgrade the capsule to a K47 on this mic anyway, and I'm wondering if I should still go ahead and spend the money on the upgrade. I don't want to buy the capsule though if the problem is more likely to be something else.

Thanks so much!

Lives for gear

There is no way for anyone on this forum to diagnose that.

It might be the capsule, it might be something else. The only real way to know is to take it to a repair show and pay them to figure it out, or to buy a capsule and replace it and fingers crossed it works.

Sadly, that's your only real option here.
