Beatmapping from non-click sources

I was just wondering if there was a plug-in that could take the input of audio, detect the average BPM and then stretch and shrink the file dynamically to a grid. I do this often, as I like to do my own takes on a lot of older music. But I have to do it by hand, and it's super tedious and sometimes doesn't come out totally perfect. Not that it needs to be, since it's just used for basing my midi stuff off of, but it would really cool if there was some way to get this done automatically so I can save a good hour of chopping and stretching to a tempo

Yea there are plugins that o it. Audio Snap does it and i've used it and it works great. You may need the same DAW as I, as its DAW specific.
