Old FireWire interface or new USB one?

Hi

I’m putting together a live set up based around a MacBook Pro running Ableton live.

I have an M Audio M-Track 2x2 which is fine at home but I’m not sure if it’ll be ok for gigging.

I also have an old Mbox 2 Pro FireWire.

Am I right in thinking the Mbox would be faster/more stable than the M-Track as it’s firewire?

The MacBook Pro has thunderbolt connectors so it’d mean getting an adapter, and I don’t even know if it’s still compatible.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Focusrite Saffire should work with no problem on Thunderbolt to.

You may be wrong or right. Since you have both, you should try both and see what works best for your PC set-up. The same interface will give you different performance specs depending on your PC's MOBO and other specs
