Need help finding an audio interface.

I’m fairly new to this, so I don’t really know what’s out there. I’m trying to find a device that will take all my various inputs and send them all into my DAW (Ableton Live 9). However instead of mixing them all into one input, I need them to be separate.

From what I’ve seen audio interfaces don’t have very many channels, which is a big problem. However I need everything to be separate, so that I can use my DAW to mix things/apply FX to individual channels.

How many channels do you need and what kind of inputs (mic, line, midi, etc)? What’s your budget?

Lives for gear
To record seperate tracks in one go you need seperate inputs.
Mixing is done in the DAW, not in the interface (unless you want to go analog).
