How to (if possible) connect a hardware rack effect to a laptop via audio interface

Hello, I have a Dell laptop, a Lexicon Dynamic MIDI Reverberator, a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2, and Reaper, how do I connect these so I could use the Lexicon effects?

Use for what? Recording? Mixing?
It doesn't matter, i guess, because your Scarlett doesn't have a send/return and it doesn't have more than 2 outs. so its a bit tedious and non production in my opinion. But you be the judge!

So in order to use it for mixing (and i would not. There are way better plugins available and why would you go in and out and in and out of the analog /digital domain for a outdated reverb?)

For MIXING - You would have to disconnect your studio monitors and connect the line out or outs into the line ins of the reverb. Then take if form the reverb into an input of your scarlet and back into your DAW. I guess you would need headphones to hear what you are doing. When done. connect everything back up to where it was.

For RECORDING - you would need to get a DI box to make your signal line level and then run that iine level into your reverb and then into your sound card and hten into your DAW
