Using K2600s as a MIDI controller HOW TO?

I am hoping some one can walk me thru how to connect a Kurzweil K2600s as a MIDI controller with either Serato DJ Pro, FL Studio 12 or Ableton 10. Once I get it with one I am sure I can get it with the other 2.

I have a MIDI in and out running from the keyboard to a USB converter into my laptop and the switch on the back is set to MIDI OUT as opposed to THRU

I've downloaded these manuals:
Chap 4 Control Sources
Chap 7 Setup Mode and The Setup Editor

I had a K2VXS many years ago and could map samples into programs fairly well but I have no MIDI experience and I'm just flailing in the dark despite the manuals. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Install driver for USB/MIDI device, and it should appear in your DAW. Create a MIDI track in DAW and select the device as the input.

Thanks but all 3 interfaces can see the keyboard. I am using this as the MIDI IN/OUT to USB:

"mio" shows up but nothing happens upon key strokes from the Kurzweil. I'm sure it's jut the flick of a switch inside the Kurzweil but I can't figure it out. I have a Casio Privia and it will play automatically in Ableton when I hook it up to my laptop USB to USB but I'd like to make use of the Kurzweil sliders/jog wheel/keys.

Try swapping the Midi din plugs.

Sounds like a configuration issue in the 2600. make sure your patch or global midi settings is broadcasting on the correct channels.

Match MIDI channels on the Kurzweil and your DAW track.
