Yamaha HPH-MT5 cable?

So I own a Yamaha hph mt-5 which Is a decent studio headphone. One thing that is quit anoying is that the cable is 3 meters(9f) long. I only need 1.5 meters actually. Ive looked up for the cable but I can’t seem to find the right one. Its got 1x 2.5mm in, but it has a screw mechanism to click it to the headphone. Am I just stuck with this?

can you post a pic of the connector?

I would be surprised if you couldn't find it in an electronics store if not in a ready made cable.
Is it one of those 5 or 7 pin DIN connectors?

Usually the problem is that the cord is too short hehe, you could always just coil it up with a velcro tie.

I could even offer to make you a cable if we identify the right connector but I'm in Australia so postage might be a killer

Thanks for your reply,

I’m from the Netherlands so Australia is the other side of the world for us haha.

This screw mechanism is on both sides.
