Pitterpatter Coming From Synth

Hi folks,

Sometimes when producing with a monophonic synth, whether hardware or not, I notice this low-end pitterpatter sound (best way I can describe it) occurring in the background that is separate to the actual note. It is rhythmically connected to the notes being played. Being a newbie I'm not sure how I could upload an example of this, but I've got one ready to go unfortunately, since it's in a project I'm going.

Thanks,
RD
