I cannot re-amp using S/PDIF

Hello all,

I'm trying to re-amp a dry guitar signal.

I have S/PDIF cables going from my Axe-Fx OUT to interface IN, and vice versa.
I am able to record the initial processed signal via S/PDIF, however, when sending the dry signal out to the Axe-Fx, & trying to get the Axe to send the processed signal back to the interface to record, nothing happens. I can only still hear the dry signal.

On my interface, inputs 7 + 8 are S/PDIF.

Example :

Dry Track
+ Input = none
+ Output = Output 7 going to the Axe-Fx (which is obviously reading the signal because of the active LED's)

Re-amp Track
+ Input = Input 7 (S/PDIF)
+ Output = Stereo Out

Maybe this will help.

Appreciate your response.
Clock settings do seem to be correct, and I've tried every possible option there is.

I did read that link your suggested previously but once I've seen that
the illustration requires you to plug into the audio interface instead of the
Axe-Fx, I was instantly uninterested.

My 10+ year old interface's DI is lightyears behind the quality of the Axe's DI.

However, I did figure out some sort of 'workaround' but it causes me
to have to switch between audio devices in my DAW come re-amp time
but not that much of a big deal considering that you would have to go into
the audio interface's software to switch from external to internal
anyway so it's almost the same thing.
