help with ableton recording on the fly!

I'm new to Ableton, I have 2 issues:

1) in session view, I start a drum clip for example and its in the middle of looping..., and then arm a different track like a piano and when I press "session record", it starts recording in the piano roll IMMEDIATELY (no count in, even though I set the count in), how can I set it so that it starts recording ONLY when I press my first midi note...? It makes no sense cuz it would completely off set the clip size from the drum clip size and everything would be playing out of sync when looping... don't understand why Ableton would have a feature like that..

2) and then after I finish recording my clip in session view and different clips are looping, I want to be able to press "STOP" and have the loops keep playing, but when I press stop, everything just stops...
