How do you connect RME MADIFACE XT using PCIe?

Greetings all

Sorry for the dumb question, but as the title implies, what do you need to connect the MADIFACE XT via PCIe? I'd assumed there would be some sort of host card in the box, but nothing. Not even a cable. The PCIe connector on the back of the unit is one I don't recognise, tho the RME website describes it as a 'standard mole e-PCIe connector'

I'm using a rather old machine which only has USB 2.0, but has a couple of spare PCIe slots. I don't really have the money for a fancy hardware upgrade at the moment, so this is just for proof of concept, to get it all up and running.

Have looked on the RME website and it wasn't helpful either

Any advice would be appreciated.
