Sennheiser ew 100 G3 problem

Hello, I am a sound technician at a local church and we have recent problems with the Sennheiser. We run it from our board, and it is very inconsistent but happens about every week.

The problem is when the speaker is talking there is a weird buzzing sound, only when the speaker talks though. Otherwise it is not present at all if there is no sound being transmitted into the microphone. The only solution that I have found is to turn him down on the sound board, but the buzz/hissing is still slightly present. One week the buzz got so loud it created a loud distortion within the speakers.

The pastor just hooks the Sennheiser to his pants and walks around a little. It is hooked up to Audio-Technica PRO 92cW which I do not believe is causing the weird distortion. We changed the radio frequency thinking that may have been the problem, but the buzzing while he talks is still present.

Thank you for your time.

to troubleshoot this, i would bypass the wireless Audio-Technica PRO 92cW and just use a normal mic. If the problem goes away, and i think it will, then you know what it causing it.
Wireless is funny. A unit can work good in one place, and when you use it in another place, it givers you weird artifacts...
