Will it be an original DAW or a rip off? If it's the latter, then please be a clone of Pro Tools. Avid will love that!

Uli Tools.

Cheers!

A clone of ProTools would be - hil-ar-ious. But I'ma bet it's a clone of Ableton.

Here for the gear

I would like to see a unique approach, something that other DAWs doesn't have.

Not wanting to start a DAW fight, but arguably one of the best DAWs on the planet has had their premium version totally free for some time now... with many top of the line features. Cakewalk by Bandlab. Their latest "aggressive" multi-threaded setting is running so smooth on my i9-9900X... best so far. I've tried to like Reaper and Cubase 10.5, but they just don't have the "feel", intuitiveness, and features for me.

It would seem hard to compete with that right out of the gate.

Sorry... back on topic... Behringer! Yay.

I heard that there's a disclaimer that any original music made with this DAW will be sent off and re-recorded by a Chinese bar band, and after tremendous delays and legal controversies, released to the west at a cut price with full accreditation the genius artist named "Behringer".

Soon, there will be no music, there will only be BEHRINGER

In 18 months? Hmmmm... Anyway, remains to be seen. Thou I don't think I will be moving away from Ableton and ProTools any time soon. Probably never. ;-)

But hey, Behringer Company surprised me quite nicely with their Klark Teknik takes on KT76 and EQPs in the outboard gear dept. Great tools for their price range. Amazing for that matter.

So, nice one Behringer. It's a huge task (I suppose, no coder here!) and my only suggestion would be to take the time and really nail it.

Keep up the great work!

That's because (Behringer) they purchased both Klark Teknik and Midas

Yeah, man. I know. And apparently Bugera also. Bugera being Tubes coming as a stock Tubes in their EQP. I am not entirely sure but from the top of my head I think Bugera as well, completely or in some major percentage, I'm not sure.

I was thinking more in the line of Behringer and that whole gang can sometimes surprise you nicely.

Hardware Software and Synths intergration in their own bubble... Could be pretty impressive actually...

Think Euro Trance Analogue Digi Techno EDM Crowd Version of Slates Software Hardware Vocal Orientated in house system with Mics and Raven etc..

Behringer got the desks, monitors, synths, drum macine clones... ONLY thing missing was software to integrate virtual and real worlds...

Make the Budget JUMP to LIGHTSPEED....

Well Played... Genius.

As opposed to all those DAWs without plugins? ??

Always willing to take a look for free.

Like? In what way?

DAWs are more similar than they are different. Workflow differences, mostly.

I would like to see them make one that's very easy to pick up and use w/o wading through documentation and an counter-intuitive UI. That alone would be unique.

They must be looking at this like Presonus did — and as already stated here — to create an entire universe of products.

It’ll give them a platform other than tc electronic to launch plugins as well.

And just think, it’ll give people a whole other product line to curse about for no particular reason!
