I was sitting here thinking about your method of creating a drum track to use over a metronome. Very good advice. In fact, I was thinking that if you are laying down rhythm guitar or a particular strumming pattern on an acoustic (something I do every song) the drum track could be tweaked to help with those patterns. I discovered a while ago that using different drum loops would help in recording different strumming patterns. It didn't occur to me to customize my own as guide track

Yes indeed, sometimes the click drum pattern really doesn't represent the final drum part. For example I may over emphasise a kick on the down beat. Another example would be playing 16th on a hihat... where perhaps the final part is 8th .... it can sometimes help in keeping the playing tight. In the end, whatever works!

Just FYI - I'm trying to sign up on Distrokid (through your link) but when I enter my email address and password info on the register page, it says wait a minute, and then nothing happens - the fields just go blank. No info given as to why it's not working.

Edit: I got it to work finally. Must have been a website thing
