Was wondering why absynth is not getting any facelifts...This is super interesting! Definitely my type of instrument.

This is by far the most interesting non vintage emulation synth I've seen since Serum was released in 2014.

Wish it had a real GUI though.

I'm not a fan of the gui, but I'm intrigued by the sounds and possibilities.

This synth deserves a great UI on par with major VSTi's.

What about Pigments?

The UI might not be for everyone, but there's utilitarian benefits to it (think of it like "cargo pants" vs jeans). That's ton of parameter/information packed on a single page, meaning there's less need for menu diving.

Looks promising, especially coming from the guy who did Absynth!

Btw, what is that controller/synth he's using in the video with the 3 wheels? Slutty...

Rhizomatic informed me that:

Got it too, I'm genuinely impatient / excited to have fun with it, those gongish tones are especially impressive.

there is a new info text on the preorder site:

New filters and effects under construction...
I’m very happy with the state of Plasmonic development the past month. Many of the more challenging tasks are out of the way, and I’ve also been experimenting with new filter modes and delay effects (more on those later!).

Well, I will talk a little about one of the delay effects because I’m sure it will make it into the final instrument: Sympathetic effect. I’ve always loved the Ondes Martenot “Palme” speaker (read about it here https://tinyurl.com/qkfzrr9), as well as traditional instruments incorporating sympathetic strings. In fact most string instruments produce sympathetic vibrations from open strings (dulcimer, piano with the pedal down, guitar with un-muted strings). This seemed like a perfect addition to Plasmonic.

Sympathetic isn’t just a bank of plain comb filters; each “string” responds dynamically to input, in subtle or radical ways. I’m excited about it, and I’ll make a demo as soon as possible so you can hear what it sounds like.

Thanks so much for your support, it’s very exciting to be back in the saddle again and I can wait to unleash Plasmonic on the music world.

Okay, I bit.

I also was backer #82, which pushed the IndieGoGo campaign over his $8,000 goal, so that's something...
