It does! Anyone have a clue on the price?

(I'm sure Warren Huart will be doing a video on these soon!)

Looks very interesting. The LP-8's next to the IN-8 was dirt cheap at $300 I think? Wonder if it will be in the sub-$1K category.
Wish he'd spit his god damned chewing gum out

You’re right. That’s a great price but kind of concerns me when it comes to the frequency range. Can’t be that great at that price, surely?

Well, I heard the JBL LSR308's recently, and have a really nice low end, an these are in the same "class".

I really like the design concept of the coaxial midrange/tweeter driver... and you can set on side and not have to unscrew the faceplate to change the mid/tweet driver orientation!

As a person that owns a pair of LP6's, looking forward to these. There are lots of reviews and shootouts around. Speakers sound amazing for the price.

Also, their support was phenomenal.

I'm looking forward to the reviews on the IN8. Not to buy them, but because i like the LP6 a lot and they got me interested in following the news on the newer models from this company.
I'm looking forward to some IN8 shootouts with 1000$ monitors and higher.

I can't post images.

Per Kali's Facebook page, they are testing a three-way monitor versus their LP-8.

Hopefully the IN-8 is out by the end of the month

Only questions that I have for now: is there an IN-6 comings at some point?
And is there any chance they gonna find a way to reduce the hiss?!
I would be happy to pay 100-200 more for that.
Or at least built a nice working noise gate into them
The hiss in the video is crazy. On the Lp-6 if you are closer than 1m it can be too much in a studio environment

Also had a noise problem with my dynaudios and jbls, bought a power conditioner and it went away.

OK, I wonder if it is a common problem with speakers... I will get too detracted by whitenoise, as I am pretty sensitive about these things... Depends on how loud it is of course. Analog gear can be quite noisy too.

Same here!
I bought a set of LP-6's, loved the sound but sadly the hiss was too much for me. Maybe a power conditioner would have helped, it was a pretty present white noise sound.

I asked Kali Audio about the noise in the IN-8 and they said:
"We achieved a 6dB reduction in tweeter noise, but there is some noise from the midrange, so overall noise reduction is 2dB"

Warren Huart never mentioned anything about the noise level of Kali speakers when he had a Kali founder on one of his recent videos. Hmmm....

Personally the gentle white noise that comes out of these doesn’t bother me at all even listening at low bedroom levels. As soon as you turn up to an average listening level it’s not noticeable it distracting at all. Most analog gear I use makes some noise too. These things sound so good

I'd check your interface, connections and power supply. I get almost zero noise when my lp-6s are at max volume through my saffire pro interface. Also, using a video to judge noise is just silly when factoring mic type, mic gains, & environment.

Old recordings of Metallica sound trash on them .. maybe they're poorly recorded. Rest everything else sounds great!

I have possibly the first LP-6 to be shipped from any US retailer and I'd get no more hiss from the tweeter than I get from every active monitor tweeter. Listening position 3-5 feet away inaudible with nothing playing. If I put my ear near the tweeter I hear it as I would with others and I'm highly sensitive to high end. I may have been a particular pair you had, or the interface or power source. I have a Monster power surge supressor that has some noise filtering but I really think it's the speakers themselves that are quiet, given what I heard testing the LP-8 at another studio. It had the same low noise performance I had in my own studio.

really interested to hear this monitor. There are so few options for 3 ways at this price... actually, are there any lol?

Really liking the idea of a 3 way with a coax for mids/tweeter. Only wish it was a sealed box, but I reckon that would raise the price due to more engineering required to get good bass.

Still they say their's something special about their port tubes? Although I can't really find any exact info on what that is.
