If only if it was as good as it claims to be, maybe then it would be worth the price. But since it's not, there's no excuse for that price, not even if the license is expensive.

Imo the asking price is absurd and yeah, they shouldn't have advertised something wrong, but does that really deserve all the flames and hate?
I for one, am more concerned about a company which repeatedly didn't keep its promises. At the time I bought (and still have) a license for the Red Eq, lp split comp and k-stereo. Great tools but they're 32 bit only and lp split com doesn't provide any latency compensation info to the host.
Several times I've expressed my concerns with Algorithmix and every time I've been given promises the fix (latency comp) and updates (64 bit versions) were really round the corner, just a nasty bug with copy protection to fix or whatever was the excuse of the day. As we all know it never happened. Alright they don't HAVE to release an update but why on earth repeatedly make promises that were never kept?

Besides, I'm surprised & disappointed no agreements have been made between Algorithmix and Maat regarding former Algorithmix clients, for instance in the form of an attractive crossgrade pricing. When you've already spent 1k on a specialised tool, most of us are not ready to spend the same amount of money *just* for a 64 bit port and an (admittedly much) nicer GUI.

Hey Sequenza,
Agreed, thanks for mentioning that. Crossgrades for Algo customers are coming, along w/other announcements related to existing owners of our thEQ family.

Any chance to take off the requirement of the Wibu dongle?

Nope, sorry man. For security, versatility, disaster recovery and license portability among other reasons, (see FAQ), we’ve chosen Wibu over PACE or a home grown approach. The 3-Series CmSticks for sale on our site include a $50 voucher which basically covers the cost of the dongle. If you are a MAGIX user, that Stick can be used for their licenses as well.

Sorry for spreading more negativity, but CodeMeter really is the main reason for me not to even consider these EQ's even though I would love to try them. I bought one of the metering plugins and sure, it did work for a few months after a few problems with CodeMeter got sorted out, but now I can't use it again.. because of CodeMeter. The only reason for me to write this is that I still hope that MAAT will change to a protection system that actually works.

My personal experience is that ilok has been much less reliable and on a regular basis I still get those warning messages of all sorts. If memory serves well, not so long ago it was also the reason NOT to buy a plug...
Conversely codemeter has always been good to me and invisible to the system (workload) and I'm talking about 4 sticks on 3 different computers. Are you on a Mac, which could explain our different experiences?

Nevertheless I also consider it's not OK having to buy a stick to be able to test drive a plug.

it's useless.. if the original subtitles are hand coded then the translation service is sometimes ok ish.. but this is auto translating to German then to English lol.. it's ridiculous.

I don't understand why a video like this doesn't have english subtitles.
