Ohhh man, it looks beautiful! Well done brother! Talk about workflow, similar to Mixbus but as a plugin. Very excited to give it a go as I can see it fitting my stem-mixdown template perfectly. Curious about CPU.

It's been an interesting ride. This one is looking like new heights for AO

This seems like it will pretty useful I wonder how this compares to the other neve emulations out there

okay so from my understanding with using this plugin. On ableton, I'd place the NCAR to a buss channel. Then on the other buss channels, lets say All Vocals, All Drums and All Synths, I use the I/O option, select NCAR, then under it will input channels to select to route? Kind of like how folks would set up Cthulu with a synth?

very interesting, why the limit of 8 channels? It would be great to be able to add as needed without limit, or if the limit is too high (to avoid problems)

Thank you so much!

Of course CPU is little bit high but not too much. Cause, lots of thing going on at the same time.

With i7 / 8GB Macbook Pro, CPU is around 3%. Also, there is fixed 4x oversampling for all channels, too...

Yes.

In SUM mode, you don't have to route output channels. You will be able to hear every routed channel from directly NCAR's bus tracks. Cause, it will sum all tracks to Output 1-2.

In IND mode, you need to route outputs to another tracks.

Thanks.

Actually, there is 64 channel to use. But i made this 8 channel to keep interface small.

Also, possible to use multi instance. You can get 8x2, 8x4, etc...

Thanks, it would be interesting to be able to add to the view as needed and to have everything in the same window and to be able to scroll laterally.

Actually, i thought about scrollview but it's more complicated. Really hard to implement.

And i thought that seeing all channels at the same time is better option for users.

If user has dual-screen setup, he/she can put multiple instances to second screen and see more than one NCAR at the same time.

To make it bigger, i have to add some features like solo but solo logic is really complicated, too.

So, i don't want to replace DAW's mixer with NCAR. Just like summing amp or small format sidecar mixer...

Thanks.

Ignoring the input/output/eq on each channel, does this plugin do anything with the audio other than route all the inputs to a single output? When you say "summing" what is actually happening there?

Thinking of summing hardware like the Thermionic Culture / SSL Sigma and other stuff, the various input signals affect the combination of all the signals, the output is not just the physical sum of all inputs but something more (I've never used them, I don't know). Does this plugin do something whereby the combination of all input signals is more than just the addition of all the signals?

Yes, output has extra summing amp. But if you bypass strip, it will bypass output amp for bypassed strip, too.

This behaviour for hearing fully clean/unprocessed input when you bypass strip.

Diagram for active strip;

Input -> Preamp - > EQ - > Output -> Meter -> Summing Amp - > Master Output (Clean)

Diagram for inactive strip;

Input -> Meter -> Master Output (Clean)

Hey Tunca,

First, I'd like to congratulate you for reaching your first Patreon goal. Well done!

Then, I'd like to congratulate you for such a clever implementation of a console emulation system. There's a lot of console emulators out there, but literally none is implemented as yours...This is way smarter than, let's say, Slate's VCC or Plugin Alliance's console strips. This is what Harrison Mixbus should've done since the beginning, in my opinion.

I bet other plugin developers will start copying your implementation idea really soon.

Question: Do you intend to add other features, such as compressors, and modeling different consoles?

Anyway, I'm really happy for you man...I've been observing your evolution since the beginning of AO...You've made so many phenomenal mistakes ( lol ) but now it seems that the Patreon model is really working out. You've come a loooong way regarding both your programming and business skills.

Looking forward trying it asap!

Thanks for your words!

Actually, it's first model. Still trying to improve this concept. NCAR will stay as it is.

Then i will make different models with additional features like compressor as you said.

Now, time to wait. NCAR is new concept and need to get more feedback for future projects.

Oh, big thanks for your interest, again!

It will be released on digital platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer and more, tomorrow.

I will share link on my signature. Also, i will send you PM for the links.

Brilliant and great job on this Sidecar Neeeeeeve'ish Summing Mix @ Analog obession

Wish to see it grow as new version comes up including stuff like : Compressor - Saturation - if its something you had in mind. If not, all good.

But one thing I'd love to see is an ALL IN BUTTON BYPASS as well as ALL MUTE BUTTON for selected tracks. Would make workflow much faster in some cases during mixing. But i'm sure you must have that in mind for coming update release for this.

How does this work, you have to add a small instant of NCAR on each channel and then you routed to the BIG NCAR???

Can't wait to give this a try.

Great job
