Software Harrison introduces Mixbus32C version 6

Harrison is proud to announce the latest update to our flagship DAW, Mixbus32C!

Mixbus32C is a full-featured audio workstation with recording, arranging, editing, mixing, and mastering features:

The Mixbus32C mixer page is where Mixbus differs from all other workstations. Here you'll find a real "mixer" developed by a company who makes the real thing:

Harrison is the only DAW developer with a 45-year history of making studio consoles. Pictured below is the Harrison 32C circa 1980. The EQs in Mixbus32C are voiced and tested by some of the same people who worked on the original Harrison Series32 consoles:

What's New in Mixbus32C v6?

Here's a short video by our favorite product specialist, Nik, introducing the new features in version 6:

  • Harrison 5th generation Mixbus processing engine with many improvements including smoother operation, extensive latency compensation, and cue-monitoring (the ability to hear live input and playback at the same time on a track).
  • Dedicated FX buses: Mixbuses 1-8 can now assign to mixbuses 9-12, permitting their use as dedicated FX buses or matrix outputs.
  • The EQ, Sends, and Input/Recording sections can now be shown&hidden, allowing Mixbus32C to fit on smaller monitors.
  • Foldback buses allow the building of unlimited custom cue mixes for artists.
  • ...plus hundreds of additional fixes and improvements! See the full change-list here.

What would be the upgrade price from version 4? Or do I have to get version 5 first?

$79.00 from any previous version, if you're a registered owner you should have gotten an email.

Some great features and engine improvements in this one but it's hard to tear myself away from Studio One for the ARA2 and advanced editing. I tried recording in S1 and then importing all the tracks to Mixbus to mix and I liked the results but it's just easier to stay in S1. I'll probably upgrade just to play around with it, would really love to see ARA and VST3

Ok thanks, got the email but didn't read it closely, just assumed it was for V5.

Weird, I have regular Mixbus v5 as well as 32C and didn’t get an email...looks interesting! Curious to try it out, some of those improvements look very nice.

FWIW Ben said that regular Mixbus will be available in about a month. I think that upgrade will be $19- like before.

Every single time Harrison releases a major upgrade, I feel like I'm learning a new
DAW. Time for me to go back to Studio One.

Is that because you pay for upgrades to Studio One and nothing changes?

I've been using Mixbus32C for a few versions now... it seems pretty much the same thing to me, just with improvements and fixes.

Studio One can add a feature but they don't keep changing what you used to. You can go and see version 2 as well as version 3 to 4 and 5 huge editing sequencing difference in Harrison Mixbus. All of a sudden I feel like now I'm adapting to a new DAW all the time. I have said in the past ok I will adapt. Now again I will have to adapt for a new version. Now I have to click EQ section and Sends to see them every single time.

I think that about this there is a preference which keeps the behavior of the previous version
