V-Control Pro Adds Digidesign C|24 Support

V-Control Pro version 2.5 adds support for the beautiful Digidesign/Avid C|24 control surface. Previously, C|24 could only control Pro Tools. Now you can control Logic Pro X, Cubase, Nuendo, and Studio One. More DAWs are coming soon. Version 2.5 is a free update. www.neyrinck.com

Here is a video showing nice integration with Studio One.

The C24 is a fantastic value widely available on the used market:
24 touch sensitive, .1 dB resolution faders
24 knobs
24 x 2-row x 8 character LCD
24 x stereo track meters
6 channe output meters
5.1 monitor system with alt, headphone, talkback, listen back, and more
16 mic preamps
8 channel analog submixer
External power supply.

Version 2.5 also adds Studio One support for Control|24 and ProControl.

Thank you for expressing your frustration. Can you please provide more details?. When we released V-Control Pro 2, it was a big change from V-Control Pro 1, and there was a lot of confusion. We refund customers that have made a purchase from us where a refund is due.

Here is a history of the product:

V-Control Pro 1 for iPad - It was sold on the Apple App Store. The user had to install a utility on the Mac or PC called "Ney-Fi." Apple handles all purchases and refunds. The App Store provides no information customer information whatsoever. The App Store provides no way to upgrade or cross-grade. We really dislike how the App Store works and it motivated us to create V-Control Pro 2.

V-Control Pro 2 - We replaced Ney-Fi with V-Control Pro 2 that runs on Mac and PC. It runs as "unlicensed" or "licensed." Either way, it still connects the V-Control Pro 1 iPad app to all the supported DAWs. For new users we

V-Control Pro 1, to this day, can still be used at no additional cost from the initial App Store purchase.

For V-Control Pro 2, we started selling a subscription license. Many users told us they hate subscriptions. In late 2018 we started selling a perpetual license option.

Thank you,
Paul

I won't participate in your efforts towards positive (and revisionist) PR, Paul. Yours is the only company that I will go out of my way to call out and warn folks about each and every time the opportunity presents itself. What you did (and, if Moondog is right -- and i expect he is -- continue to do) is beyond the pale.

Why ?
A company is trying to sell a product via this forum, users of this forum have a right to know the company history, perhaps you should just go and read the companies adverts instead of reading a public forum where this exact sort of thing is posted so that others DON'T get ripped off.

V Control with Pro Control

I've had nothing but success using V Control with my ancient but still working pro control. In fact, this app allowed me to upgrade to 10.13 & latest Protools. Otherwise I was kinda stuck on 10.9 & Protools 10 for the longest time.

My 2 cents

Drat... thread-filtering again.

Thought there were very valid points made that prospective clients should know about. I know this is gearslutz, but not all gear, manufacturers...and their tactics... are slutty. Let the people (customers/sluts) speak!

If I can use my Console|24 with Reaper, that would be beautiful indeed.
(Just to be able to use the mixer would be worth the yearly payment alone ...)

For me, Reaper is the only serious alternative to Pro Tools.
