Hardware TS-990 Twin Servo Mic Preamp for 500 series. Pre-Launch SALE!

We're happy to introduce the TS-990 Mic Preamp for the 500 series.

Features:
  • Based on the classic Jensen Twin Servo design.
  • High-Gain, Low-Noise, Extended Frequency Response.
  • Our CA-990 Discrete Opamps
  • Jensen or Cinemag Transformers
  • FET Hi-Z input (using Toshiba 2SK170)
  • High-Quality Potentiometer from Omeg Ltd.
  • Burr-Brown OPA177 for the DC Servos (no capacitors in the signal path).
  • Gold PCB
-----------------------------------------------------------

After a year and 4 revisions, the TS-990 is already in use in multiple studios.

We're confident that this is one of the best mic preamp you can get in this price range.

To show our gratitude to the Pro Audio community, we decided to make a Pre-Launch Sale.

We have 10 units ready to ship in 2 weeks for only $649 CAD ($749 CAD regular).

What's the catch? If you buy one, you agree to send us your thoughts and comments by email the following weeks

-----------------------------------------------------------

There's 5 available with Jensen Transformers and 5 available with Cinemag Transformers.

The sonic difference between both choice of transformers is very subtle... a lot of audio engineers couldn't tell them apart... but here's our thoughts:

Jensen:
- Precise mid frequencies
- More neutral, true to the source

Cinemag:
- Slightly more coloured
- a little lift in the low-end frequencies

You can order only by using the following direct links:

--> BUY the TS-990 with Jensen Transformers

--> BUY the TS-990 with Cinemag Transformers

-----------------------------------------------------------

The official product launch should be in Q1 of 2020.

Don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions. [email protected]

We look forward to receiving your feedback

Best regards,
CHAMBORD AUDIO

Hi,

the 990s provide 60dB of gain + 6dB from the input transformer. Total of 66dB of clean gain!

It could be configured for 6dB more, but i doubt your ever need it

Thanks

Great, that sounds just about sweet for ribbon mics as well.
Out of curiosity can i also ask what's the input impedance?
Cheers!

It's perfect for ribbon & dynamic microphones. No need for a mic booster
