Since I bought OAQ long ago, I‘m happy to try the new version tomorrow in the studio. The GUI looks very similar in this thread. The knobs in version 1 were extremely small. Let‘s see on this one

Hi Tunca,

I've checked out the new version. First of all, it's much improved.

You've managed to get the high band to behave analog (no cramping) without the use of oversampling.

The oversampling itself has a bit of a high frequency bump (see attachment), which is something you may improve a bit.

Regarding the oversampling and saturation: Less aliasing (not gone but definitely better!)

The trim knobs are output as it seems. Personally I would prefer them as input to be able to drive the saturation to taste.

Cheers

Hi,

Thanks for feedback!

Now, updating all EQs with de-cramped filters without oversample engaging.

As you mention, oversample has little bump. It's about oversampling algo. Still checking it to improve more.

There are 4x oversampling, not fully effective to reduce CPU usage. Otherwise, it uses too much CPU and creating high frequency loss.

Trying to do best. Will be much better all plugins, soon.

Thanks.

Tunca, please restore the Drive screw from the original OAQ. It was one of the best features.

Actually, first idea about update was improving Drive screw. But, new circuit design is too complex to add screw to set Drive.

Will check it for possibilities.

Thanks.

Yes, your first idea was the right one. Please find a way to improve the drive instead of removing it. I have too many projects using the original OAQ that will now sound different if I replace it with this new driveless version. You really need to give greater priority to backwards compatibility for your existing customers and not remove previous features.

+1 and even a better idea than my previous post.

If you release a new version of Fiver, I would also miss the drive knob,if you decided to not include it anymore
