Soniccouture releases Moonkits - Modern Brush Drums

Moonkits: a mission to explore the softer side of the drumkit.

Brushes, but not only for Jazz. Also rods, mallets, tea sticks: anything that mellows the attack and allows the texture to sing out.

Moonkits was intentionally recorded with extra detail at low velocites, because not every track is rock'n'roll. You don't need to smash the kit hard.

Just great touch and feel.

KITS + GROOVES PREVIEW

Moonkits features 80 preset kits mixed and ready to go.

Each kit has its own groove, set up and ready to drag and drop as MIDI.

Slot it straight in, or jump off into new directions.

SAMPLES WITH HERITAGE

Moonkits was recorded at Konk Studios in North London, founded, and still owned by, Ray Davies of The Kinks. The room harbours a fantastic drum sound, as heard on records by The Stones Roses, Massive Attack, The Fall, Blur, Depeche Mode, Portishead, Al Green, The Cure, Artic Monkeys, The Kinks and about a million others.

The custom Neve console (with 1095 EQs) was bought from Utopia studios in 1974 and was used to record The Wall by Pink Floyd among many other classic records.

FREE LOOP PACK
To get a taste of what Moonkits can do, we've made a set of 20 loops to download free. Each loop is exported direct from the instrument, using the Beat Tools grooves.

INTRO OFFER 30% OFF

Until November 15th 2019 you can get 30% off Moonkits. (This product will not be discounted further during 2019)

Price as marked on website, no code required.

Lol I just watched a bit of the walkthrough and I think I will! It's on offer for another couple of weeks and it's exactly what I need so I'll get saving and get it before the BF sales hit.

I both hate and love this time of year.

I haven't demo'd it yet but, based on the promo video, this appears to be a sophisticated and great sounding drum VI and sequencer.

NI have a 50% off sale on Soniccouture products at the moment, I can't decide between Moonkits and Electro-Acoustic....

I own the Electro Acoustic, alongside with 10 other SC products. Was a bit disappointed the non-existing crossgrade of Electro Acoustic/Moonkits.
For this reason, I'll pass the Moonkits at the moment.
I aporeciate developers, which implement the loyal customer policy (which the SC normally does) - in addition, the two above kits are obvious sister-products.

And given the fact that there is so much individual control over each mic a solo/mute function would be a nice feature...

Hi! Are any "sizzle cymbals" included in this set? (e.g. cymbals with rivets installed.)

Thanks so much!

This is badass. All of the variations of brush drags are great to have. Surprised no one has done a brush set this detailed yet. Great stuff.

Yes, a crash ride with a chain, and a hat with tambourine type bells on.
